About the role

For our client in Södertälje, we are looking for an experienced communicator specializing in crisis communication who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening an organization's work with crisis preparedness, civil preparedness, and management of serious incidents.

In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally. You are responsible for developing working methods, communication support, and plans while simultaneously supporting the organization during crises and societal disruptions. You will collaborate closely with the security department, communications unit, management, as well as external actors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and visualize internal support documents such as templates, checklists, and key messages.
• Build and develop support materials related to crisis communication.
• Review, develop, and optimize external web information regarding crisis preparedness and civil defense.
• Support communicators and operations in the creation and development of crisis communication plans.
• Create scenario-based communication plans based on risk and vulnerability analyses as well as continuity planning.
• Develop concepts for training and exercises in crisis communication in close collaboration with the security department.

About you

We are looking for you who have an academic education in communication, media, or another education that can be considered equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified communication work and have worked with crisis communication or communication during serious incidents. Experience from the public sector, authority, or other complex organizations is meritorious.

You have a good ability to work both strategically and operationally and express yourself very well verbally and in writing in Swedish. You also have a good understanding of the role of communication in crisis management and collaboration between different actors.

Other Information

The role is a full-time consultancy assignment during the period September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026. Possibility of extension exists. The position is based in Södertälje with the possibility of some remote work.
